SoSoSwanky was created when I noticed myself, friends, and family spending tons of money accumulating the most beautiful South Asian clothing, wearing them once or twice, then shoving them in the closet for generations to come. Generations who won’t even want them. Either that or they were just giving them away. Which, for the more expensive clothes, can be a bit painful. But what option do we have sometimes?
Wanting to streamline my own closet, I went on a hunt to sell my beautiful Indian clothes to someone who would appreciate them the way I did. I couldn’t find a place that was easy to use, based out of the United States, and focused on the South Asian community. That’s when I created the space I was looking for. A place where buyers and sellers can come together and help each other out. Buyers get to sell their things, create closet space, and make money. Sellers can fill their space at a fraction of the cost.
